Before there were pews, there was the sun. Before there were hymns, there was the breath.

Welcome to Breath Church — a seasonal gathering for the Winter Solstice.

Reserve My Spot Dec. 19, 2026 | 7–9pm | Centre for Spiritual Living, Edmonton
Long before the world decided what church was supposed to look like, our ancestors gathered at the turning points of the year.
The solstices. The equinoxes. Moments when the earth shifts and something ancient moves through us — whether we notice or not.
We've forgotten how to notice.
Breath Church is my attempt to remember. Four times a year, we gather — in person, in circle — to breathe together at the exact moment the light is turning.
I called it church on purpose. Not for religion, but for devotion — the same devotion countless lineages have brought to the sun, the moon, and the turning of the wheel for thousands of years.
We're just coming home to it.Â
Welcome to Breath Church.

Winter Solstice is the deepest inhale of the year. The longest night arrives, and the light begins its slow return. Nature knows what to do with that. It rests. It goes quiet beneath the surface. It holds what has not yet finished becoming. This is your invitation to do the same — not as a concept, but as a lived, breathing experience.
The Experience
6:00–6:30 pm — (VIP & VIP+) Arrive early for the labyrinth walk —
The labyrinth has been used for ceremony and meditation for thousands of years — and for good reason.
One path in. One path out. No decisions, no wrong turns, no place to go but forward. By the time you reach the center, something in you has already begun to shift. By the time you walk back out, you'll understand why people have been doing this since before recorded history.
VIP entry opens early so you can walk it before the breathwork begins. Consider it your opening ceremony.
6:45 pm — Doors open. Find your seat. Let the space hold you.
7:00–9:00 pm —
This is the experience.
Two hours of conscious connected breathwork led by Mandy Trapp using The Practice Breathwork™ method — moving through the chakras, guided by music, ceremony, and the particular potency of the fall equinox. Come ready to use the energy of this moment — to open what's been closed, heal what's been heavy, and activate the version of you that's ready for what comes next.
Includes: Full breathwork experience + sound journey + closing ceremony

No prior experience with breathwork or meditation required. No particular belief system required. Just a body. A breath. And the willingness to let something move through you.

"We all come into this world on an inhale and we all leave this world on an exhale. It's every breath between your first and your last that is writing your life story." — Mandy Trapp
What should I bring?
I've never done breathwork before — is that okay?
Where do I park?
Is this religious? Do I need to believe in something specific?
Is breathwork safe for me if I have a health condition?
What if I need to step out during the session?
Breath Church is for anyone who's ever felt more connected to something greater than themselves standing outside under a full moon than they have in any building with a steeple.
It's for anyone who's ever suspected that the most sacred thing they could do was simply breathe, pay attention, and show up at the right moment with an open heart.
